Shortly before ACEN was contacted when a call went out for Higuri You cosplayers, especially Cantarella ones. I hadn't even known she had been announced as a late guest, so scrambled and found roomies so I could go to the con. Saturday found out why they were looking for Cantarella costumers. Cantarella manga has been licensed for english translation by new company GoComi (some of the staff has worked before for Broccoli and TokyoPop) - so once they get the translations out may see more Cantarella cosplay pop up in the US. The company website will be at http://www.gocomi.com/ - they have licensed 3 other titles currently.

Friday I had to bail out of my first attempt to register as I was going to miss her autograph session. I dressed in Lucrezia costume out of the car (forgot to put on necklace and had to wear glasses as trying to make it in time) and went to panel. Fortunately was able to get in, Higuri recognized my costume immediately - yaa. She drew a sketch of Cesare for me. Part of Saturday I dressed as Cesare, at the meet & greet she drew a sketch of Lucrezia for me - conveniently leaving off the necklace in the drawing.
