First Worn : DragonCon 2004

I had thought about entering the Dawn contest just for fun for a couple of years, but it conflicts with Pern contest. After I watched Pern one year, and entered contest another - decided why not Dawn. There was an outfit I had been wanting to do for years of hers - but did not have enough time to make it. Decided to do outfit that is based on Poledancer(drawing above) - but changed some of the design to work better on plus sized person. Usually I don't change something this much, but Dawn is a look-a-like and not a costume contest, so had way more leeway to try things differently.

Main material used is swim/dancewear red hipster. I love this stuff - but material is quite heavy. In the time I had, couldn't figure a way to attach the gloves to the dress without having the gloves eventually rip - so just made them seperate. I usually don't wear heels - so the boots killed me - I now know on future Dawn outfits I just will have to go with small heels if don't want to be in pain. When I re-wear this I will just be wearing red pumps - so will have to shorten skirt some. Also thinking about sewing top part of skirt down a little then shortening the white waist peplum.
