First Worn : DragonCon (1998)

Awards Worn : 2nd Place - MTAC (1999)

Totally handsewn, made out of red lining and light drapery material so its fairly flowing. Drawback is have to wear something substantial beneath it as material is so thin.

I decided to do this outfit when I found the tiara(which is a goldcolored metal peacock w small rhinestones for the eyes in the peacock's tail). With such a perfect crown representing Suzaku, I figured I had the hardest accessory to the outfit covered. Originally I used a necklace which was a phoenix but later strung an accurate necklace for the outfit. I found the perfect earrings for this outfit at Kmart. I have gone through 2 sizes of white flowers for this outfit, the first was too large but the only ones I could get to stay in place til I finally found smaller ones at Michael's crafts with good long strong wires I could loop around my ears.

I have also gone through 2 belts, first was gold lame but then went to yellow gold material as didn't fray so badly. I sometimes wear the 2nd draping belt with this outfit, but usually leave it off as it doesn't work well with a fuller figure.

As I have thin and fine textured hair that is just barely past my shoulders, I knew I couldn't get the 2 buns on the top of my head like Miaka has. What I do is make 2 ponytails on the top of my head. I then take styrofoam balls I have cut almost in half, painted dark brown to match my hair, and punched hole through center. I thread ponytail through hole then wrap my hair around styrofoam and then put band around that at base of ball. This part sometimes looks good and other times have to retry to get okay look - and sometimes my hair will stay in this and sometimes not. I then wrap the metal tiara around the buns to help hold them in place.
